This year, IWC has given a new interpretation to its popular Portuguese Chronograph IW3714 by launching the new Portuguese Chronograph Classic watch. Classical and elegant, this new charming timepiece will undoubtedly be loved by watch lovers at the first glance. As a redesigned version of the Portuguese Chronograph IW3714, this new model has a slightly larger diameter in 42mm. At the same time, it is given a 2 mm thicker case than the original one. Fitted with an arch looking glass and the rail-mounted minute scale, this extremely classic timepiece provides a perfectly harmonious appearance. Since the birth of the Portuguese watch, this rail-mounted minute scale has been standing out conspicuously in the Portuguese family and giving a unique look to it.
The new Portuguese Chronograph Classic watch is driven by an own made calibre 89316 within its beautifully classic case. Particularly developed to measure the long timekeeping time, this exceptional calibre can offer a 12-hour timekeeping time which can be read off through the subdial in the position of 12 o’clock on the dial. Decorated with 38 pieces of gem, it provides a vibration of 28,800/h and a power reserve of 68 hours. Available in 18k red gold and stainless steel, this Portuguese Chronograph Classic watch comes in two different dials: silver plated dial and dark gray sun rays one. Furthermore, this model can give a water resistance within 30 meters. Through the transparent sapphire crystal case back can enjoy its exquisite rotor decorated with Cotes de Genève. Each Portuguese Chronograph Classic watch is endowed with a Santoni alligator leather strap.
